Certainly, the Ethiopian tyrant Meles Zenawi’s death would usher in a new era of hope to millions who are made hopeless and herded into bone crashing poverty. The tyrant’s death would also bring freedom to millions who endured every affliction and stood the taste of bitter times for 21 years.

However, to his Hench men, after years of delinquency, Zenawis’ death means end of the road and time to face the gallows with the same courage they killed thousands of innocent citizens.

Since exiled Ethiopian journalist, Abebe Gellaw confronted Meles Zenawi at the G-8 summit on 18 May 2012; the tyrants’ health has been deteriorating rapidly. sending shock waves to those who killed for him for 21 years.

As it is the norm in tyrannical rule, no warlord or top TPLF cadre came forward to inform the public about the state of the despots’ health and that led to all kinds of speculations and juicy gossips for more than two weeks.

One of Zenawi’s trusted lieutenants, health minister Tedros Adhanom laughed off the extensive cancer treatment the warlord supposedly receiving somewhere in Europe, insisting that his boss is in robust health and fit like fiddle.

The tyrant’s two spin-doctors, Mimi Sebhatu and the dormant Shimeles Kemal also avoided the hottest issue of the month by saying “he has never been in such a good health.”

Nevertheless, all became known when Africa’s emaciated fuehrer arrived late at the G-20 summit in Los Cabos, México, on 18 June 2012.

The balding and heavily spectacled tyrant appeared shockingly sluggish and frail, with ashen face.

“Well, his physical condition resembles that of Venezuelan president Hugo Chaves. He must have been receiving chemotherapy, a normal procedure after a cancer operation.,” said a US based medical practitioner who cannot be named for fear of victimization

“He is a physical wreak and you don’t need to be a doctor to see an imminent death. The fact that he was accompanied by a physician and two nurses means he is knocking on heaven’s door. The tyrant is finished.” concludes the exiled doctor.

In the past two weeks the situation in Addis Ababa was very tense. Even the usually brutal federal police members were so friendly; some avoiding eye contacts with the public.

Zenawis’ tribe men and women were also conspicuous in their absences from public places, they didn’t turn up for work or send their kids to school, instead, cutting a lone figure to mull over their future.

A respected political analyst based in Addis, who choose to remain anonymous told the Horn Times that even TPLF bigwigs such as Gestapo boss Workeneh Gebeyehu,chief spy and arch murderer Getachew Asefa, MLLT veteran Sibehat Nega,the only person who make Zenawi smile,hence got his nick name “the snake charmer”, all avoided coming face to face with Ethiopians during Zenawis’ temporary disappearance, and only returned after getting assurance that the despot has survived the health scare, at least for now.

To the ruling elite Ethiopia has always been like a ticking time bomb. In the past two weeks in Zenawis’ absence, they have seen the ragging masses drooling to erect new gallows to hang them one by one.

Zenawi brutalized Ethiopians while alive but he will severely brutalize his people from his grave for generations to come.
