Meles Zenawi is "gravely ill" from brain tumor

Dictator Meles Zenawi appears shockingly thinner and frail in under a month

Mexican resort town of Los Cabos last Tuesday, raising speculation that the 57-year-old former guerrilla fighter’s health is rapidly deteriorating.

Rumors of the premier’s ill-health were first brought to light by ESAT last week, after unnamed sources tipped off the Amsterdam-based satellite news agency over Zenawi’s secretive and frequent medical trips to Brussels, who is reportedly suffering from a persistent grade III brain tumor.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a security officer with ties to the elusive Ethiopian National Intelligence and Security Service, revealed to Durame by phone that Meles is “gravely ill” and does indeed suffer from a number of aliments, including Astrocytoma, type 2 diabetes, and depression.

“Meles Zenawi’s gaunt appearance of late does seem to indicate he’s suffering from some type of severe aliment. It seems decades of poor diet, excessive drinking and smoking have finally caught up with him.”, said Zeray Gebremariam, a 58-year-old former TPLF fighter by phone.

Despite the preimers attempts to conceal his alcohol and cigarette addictions from public eye, he has on rare occasions given inklings to journalists of his battles with substance abuse. In 1991, upon observing a no smoking sign during a breif exam in London, Meles said to a reporter, “I’ve spent the last 17 years fighting a civil war but I’ve never been so frightened as I am now. There’s no way I’ll sit the exam without a fag! [British slang for cigarette]“[1]

Well what so ever it’s not good manner to wish somebody illness or die, but regardless what he did for poor Ethiopian in general it shows this is punishment for Allah (God).
Recently he start to pressurize the Muslim nation to follow unknown and wronged religion which is not his right to choose ones religion and see what is going on to him this is miracle but I’m sorry for him and his family it’s a lesson who need to be on his footstep , whoever is coming after him I wish he/she will have a good manner of leader, stay away from religious issue of course I’m not saying ignore all issues which are affecting the peace and love of our country but stop discrimination every Ethiopian are Ethiopian regardless their religion.
Together we will fight the love and peace haters. That is all .
And remember Ariel Sharon, he is alive but died on his bed.

    [Hagos],
I feel your pain and concern for the people of Tigray inparticular and our Ethiopia in general. I think you have very good grip and truth in characterizing Meles. As you will see I am not from Tigray. I am from a region who has seen much as a result of His misguided policy. I just thought I needed to share this with you. History is replete with men who attempt to globalize their own personal, psychological and debilitating case in to the national political forum. There is no doubt Melese is such a man.Unlike many healthy and well-adjusted individuals who assume full responsibility for their life Melese, whatever his personal problem is, failed to take responsibility for his behavior.

No doubt he must have been under stimulated by his care givers. We know in his rebel days he openly propagated intense hatred to certain segments of Ethiopia n socity. And there is every reason to believe he come to regard these people as responsible for his personal problem. And perhaps saw him one day coming in to the center of power to settle his case with them. Provide this is his chief preoccupation, there is no question his goal has been successful. If we ask ourselves what was the secrets of his success or what does he has that other high ranking TPLF members lacked? .That he is shallow and have never been committed to liberate the people of Tigray or prepared to pay the necessary sacrifice as many of his comrades might have done is clear. His single preoccupation has been to avoid danger and find opportunity to come to the center of power. His none committal attitude and survival instinct is perhaps, his most important factor, that helped him attain his long drawn goal of becoming the chief of TPLF.

His life is full of intrigue. He used his MLLT to come to the center of power ,used it as a staging ground to purge and remove potential enemies within TPLF.MLLT was instrumental for the removal of the veteran leaders:Aregawi Berhe and Gidey Zeratsion. He used it to or castrate the murder of Atsbeha Dagnew and Teklu Hawaz.Used it to Purge other 13 c.c members. And went on to establish himself as a sole and feared voice within TPLF.

On the other hand, we humans are responsible creature before our maker. We will be beheld responsible before him. And as far as the LORD is concerned the main question is not if a person lived his life here on earth as a P/M or street vendor, but how does one lived his live before GOD. The word of God said,

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7.I personally wishes him even now to repent and ask forgiveness of from his maker, and he will grant him his request if he sincerely asks.
You and I and the rest of us need to learn that life is to be lived by the truth. Just as the Sun rises in the east ,each day and setts in the west as a memorial of God’s faithfulness, our accountability and responsibility before our maker is inevitable. Hate, revenge and resentment are tools of the devil and a result of human weakness.
Finally, I rest assured in the knowledge that Ethiopians will abide by their humanity and will not give vent to vices. Our people are patient and responsible and will require justice only to the perpetrators but not to the ordinary citizens. You need not to be over concerned over the contemplation of melese. Each is responsible for his own.Ethiopians lived side by side for the ages and the historical contradiction Invented by Melese will remain just that a fad, the substance is Ethiopia. Agree or not Ethiopia is included in God’s economy. She is not an accident left in to the hands of sinful men;she is here to stay till his second coming.

Under relatively normal cicumstances, it is not a normal human nature to wish someone suffer or die . However, I do not think it is a bad thing or sin to wish that individuals who cuase unbelievable level of harm to millions of innocent people and put the very survival of the country at the verge of totlal destruction have to go ….!! This is no because they previously did a lot of terrible things to the people, but because is good to see them gone before they do much more damage due to their critical illness which may result in causeing action of hopelessness. And that would be good not only for the people who have suffered a lot but also for the seriously ill dictators themselves and their families .

God has answered our prayers. This ruthless fascist zenawi must go! The wicked dictator will receive what he deserves. He has been sowing discord, animosity and inter-ethnic strife over the last 20 years, to benefit himself to saty in power by dividing the people and by inciting violence and murder.

His wickdness knows no bounds for his selfish interest. He has been engaged all his life since he joined TPLF ,how he could cause much suffering and hardship to the people.
How could a person spend his God given opportunity to be a leader to oppress poor people.

Zenawi ahs been wasting the resources Ethiopia has to fight off the people instead of doing good to the people ; putting laws to shut down the independent press, to charge journalists as terrorists, to terrorise and intimidate.

This is the life story of the ruthless dictator. It is not a CV to be proud of.

Meles pays huge sums of money to chinese experts to block off independent TV broadcasts, VOA, DW, ESAT .. and now SKYPE. the money spent to harm the people could have been used to save the lives of children and their families suffering from hunger and malnutrion in Gambella, ogaden and wello regions
He has been spending millions of dollars to block off internet sites, showing his destructive nature.

How much kindly would he have been remembered if he helped the Ethiopian people to grow in the information age and to be equal to atleast other African countries.

skin pigment is gone as if Zinawi took detergent wash on his face.yes, all will agree that Zinawi is quite on the right track to joing Gadaffi and Mubarak. It is a good idea to put in place the plan and lay the road map to a democratic election and quickly establish the just society. The crowad in Zinawi’s camp must bring in Solomon Tekaligne to read the eulogy.

I feel betrayed by wedi Zenawi. He knew that he is HIV positive and that his days are numbered but followed a policy of implosion. He had no thought of tolerance and what would happen to my people and my country tomorrow because he had no HOPE of tomorrow. His policy is “iney kemotkugn serdo ayibkel” this is literally true. Now I understand why clinically sick or morbidly ill politicians resign – because the policy they calculate should not be in terms of their life spans and the challenges they are in will affect their views to the world. Meles has not been honest and I see why he is always angry and vengeful since he does not care what the security and police and politicians will face tomorrow since he believes that he will not live to see judgment day and the rest of his followers will have to account for what they did. Now I understand why he is unduly following the politics of “Elih” and “Bitterness”. But this is not statesmanship and these are what he thought us. I feel betrayed by Meles and he should not have put the people of Tigray in such a hateful and reckless situation knowing well that he was calculating everything from the standpoint of his life span and not for generations to come. This is a betrayal of the highest order. One man being so important that the rest are expendable and worthless. Life is unfair. But this is worse than unfair!!!!!

Forget about Meles. He is done. The end is here. He has only few days or may be weeks. Some who are very close to him have already started writing his obituary. Even aigaforum has already started to post about it and about succession. Now the discussion should be about post-Meles era. How is the transition going to be? Woyane is already grooming Eleni G/Medhin to succeed Meles. She has already resigned from ECX today in preparation for the succession. She filled in for Meles at Camp David for the G-8 because Meles was unable to show up after Abebe Gelaw’s stunning blow. According to some rumors the succession has already begun and announcement will be made very soon. The Ethiopian people will not accept the succession plan of woyane, no matter what. Instead we need to use this God given opportunity to make a transition to genuine democracy. People should therefore start discussing about a peaceful transition to democracy through democratic elections. Thanks God for hearing the prayers of the Ethiopian people.
