On the last two decades alone Ethiopia under TPLF/EPRDF, Oromo Liberation Front/OLF abandoned shared power early in 1990s after drafting the unpopular Constitution of Ethiopia with its ally TPLF, victors of the time. The second division came in after the end of Badme war in 2000. TPLF was divided into two groups, TPLF pro Shabia led by Meles Zenawi and TPLF pro Ethiopia led by Seye Abraha.
