Reported: BBC
Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi has died at the age of 57, state media say, after weeks of
speculation about his health.
Mr Meles was admitted to hospital in July. The nature of his condition has not been made public.
Speculation about his health began when he missed an African Union summit in Addis Ababa earlier last month.
Mr Meles took power as the leader of a rebels that ousted communist leader Mengistu Haile Mariam in 1991.
Deputy Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, who is also Ethiopia’s foreign minister, will be acting head of government, state television said.
Three weeks ago, a government told the BBC that Mr Meles Zenawi was in “a good condition and recuperating”, and dismissed reports he was critically ill.

It is all the work from the Divine Intervention who sent Abebe Gelaw to initiate the collapse of the 21 tyrannical rule of TPLF . This man was so cruel on Ethiopia.
Now the TPLF regime is like headless snake. Confused, disunited, frightened and decapitated.
It is now time for all people who were under TPLF attack to come together and made Ethiopia, a country of peace, unity, equal, and prosperity. People should not be blinded by ignorance and TPLF kind village ethic mentality but focus on building the bigger picture and greater Ethiopia.
