Ethiopia: Is Susan Rice more than a political ally?

by Kirubeal Bekele

Elias Kifle mentioned, Susan Rice has portrayed his image like someone greater than life

Rice’s remark is a blessing in disguise for all of us to accurately understand the official position of the United States when it comes to the opposition, TPLF and its ring leader. It is a tale tale sign than the Obama administration not only ignores the Ethiopian opposition but it also abhors it. This is more serious than simply not supporting the opposition.

You all have heard by now what Susan Rice has said at the funeral ceremony about the late tyrant. As Elias Kifle mentioned, Susan Rice has portrayed his image like someone greater than life itself. She did not stop there. She even dared to call the opposition “idiots”. We know all that accolade Susan threw for this dead tyrant has a reason behind it that is not only political but probably more of a personal nature. Again, as Elias said, even his wife did not make up such a fictitious lie in praising her husband. Well, what can I say? What drives her is the age old secret love passion of a lose woman such as Susan Rice with a married man who happened to be the now dead dictator of the TPLF mafia gangs.

Susan Rice brings shame and dishonor to the United States (video)
Elias Kifle | September 2nd, 2012

The speech given by U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice today at Meles Zenawi’s funeral was full of lies that she brought dishonor and shame to the United States. Her speech was also an insult to the people of Ethiopia who have been terrorized by her friend, the late dictator Meles Zenawi. Even his own wife Azeb Mesfin did not try to portray Meles a messiah. Let’s look at briefly the record of what Susan described as a great, brilliant leader, a savior of Ethiopia and Africa: Meles Zenawi turned Ethiopia from a 3rd world country into a 4th or 5th world country where he himself could not get medical treatment. Under Meles’s 21-years of rule, Ethiopia has one of the highest unemployment rate. Ethiopia continues to be one of the top ten poorest countries in the world. Ethiopia under Meles has the lowest per capita usage of the internet in Africa, even worse that the stateless Somalia. Over ten million Ethiopian children are terribly malnourished. Over 30% of Ethiopia’s budget is covered by aid from the U.S. and EU. Without $3 billion in annual assistance for donor nations, Meles Zenawi’s regime could not have lasted 6 months. And worst of all, Meles Zenawi is a genocidal dictator who burned entire villages in Ogaden, committed atrocities in Gambella, leased millions of hectares fertile Ethiopian land to foreign investors at basement bargain prices, displaced 2 million Somalians, incited ethnic and religious clashes, ordered the killings of pro-democracy protesters, made torture a common practice in Ethiopian prisons, to mention just some of his misdeeds and crimes. Meles’s hands are soaked with the blood of countless innocent Ethiopians and Somalians. It is this mass murderer, thug, mental midget, scumbag that Susan Rice portrayed as an angel in her speech at his funeral today. Listen below:

Let the picture above explain lol obviously there was something in the air when you took that picture with the killer of Ethiopian children enjoying a glass of TEJ/ home made honey wine of Ethiopia. Let me tell you something as it is. You are indeed a great shame for America which people of the world enjoy democracy in. Take a look at yourself in that picture, indeed picture says a thousand words. One can figure how you were heart broken when the tyrant died, gone for good !!! God will judge you too. Shame shame shame on you Susan!!!

What propted the writer to conclude like this? does he have any substancial evidence that The ambasador (Susan Rice) had an affair with the late prime minister? or is it just mere speculations? yes some of her speeches were exagurated and she spoke not as the representative of US but as personal friend. In my opinion ths accusasion of her having an affair with Meles is baseless and it will damages free media’s integrity.

Dear friends, No doubt her speech is saddening, but always remember the American policies towards Africa is the same, it does not change between different administrations, , the Bush administration flirted with Meles as well, the Obama administration t is widely inherited, Susan rice was part of the Clinton administration, she was hired by the Obama administration but she does not represent but she does not represent Obama, she is simply ignorant, it is up to us to participate and lobby on behalf of the Ethiopian people and we have a better chance of being heard under dems, a thousand time better chance than republicans who have a very bad against minorities, immigrants, colored and poor people.
believe me electing a republican will only make things worse, we are minorities here and our issues here as minorities are addressed by the democrats, don’t forget we are also Americans and we are facing challenges here in this country, most of us are poor, and should very well know which political party stand for the poor, as for issues regarding our homes we will have to address them through lobbying, please vote wisely, use your right to vote and speak to senators, congressmen, talk to them, don’t just give your vote to someone who will not hear about you and never give a flying rat about you, I would advise all Ethiopians to vote for Obama or you will regret the following eight years, did you forget the Bush’s years fast, please be wise, organize, and think.

You got that right brother! She is a lose woman.

To top it all, people might think she praised Meles. Far from it, even in his death she[Susan Rice] used his name as a cover to insult Ethiopian oppositions or whome ever she has an ax to grind with. (in Habesh ethics you don’t quote a deceased person’s negative statment nor do one accuse him of with hearsay, since the deceased cannot defend himself)

I was so excited to cast my vote for Obama in 2008, hoping against hope that he will be more in tune with the people of the continent of his forefathers and put pressure on tyrants like Meles. Mr. Obama chose to defer our hopes and the hopes of Africans while chasing his own dreams and ambitions.

Like they say, fool me once shame on you and fool me twice shame on me. Obama can kiss my vote in November and say Hello! to President Romney. The last thing America needs is a genocidal cheerleader like Ambassador Susan Rice, trotting the globe as Secretary of State and messing the world inside out. No way!

    Respectfully,

Susan Rice is a mouth-piece for US policy. Meles was a loyal Ally of the US, which wanted to give one of their loyal servants a great send off. The reality of whether the man was good for his country or Africa as a whole is neither here nor there.

Just look at her contribution to the destruction of Libya, with thousands of black Libyans and other Africans slaughtered for their colour and tens of thousands ethnically cleansed from their neighbourhoods (Tewergha). We never heard any ‘outrage’ from her, even though she is supposed to be ‘black’. Look at how she has been contributing to the destruction in Syria – All for US policy.

    Dear all Ethiopian compatriots,

Let us continue our campaign against Susan’s disrespect for Ethiopians and going as far too much as she call true Ethiopians as she stood in our own soil before the polite and hospitable proud nation of Ethiopia, calling we as ”idiots”. This is the lowest of all international diplomacy ever deployed by her in history.

She looked an angry woman who lost her mother/child/husband by her worst enemy as one might imagine.

Her behavior that day, not only makes her look like some body who is looking for revenge but also forces 90% majority of Ethiopians to ask a question why she present such a black hitler racist and narrow minded ruthless murderer meles the way she said? Why she hate Ethiopians ? what they did to to her personally? what is her motive? did the tplf thugs misinformed with a lot of dirt so to make her believe so can carry on their genocide until we the majority Ethiopians vanished from Ethiopia then they completely occupied our land? Comrades this need to be investigated and taken seriously in a civilised manner please?

    Thank you,

    Tenesa,

Again, you just stole my idea! Could it be that Rice had some sort of romantic relation with Meles? Here is why I say this. Rice talked at length about Meles’s fatherhood and being a great husband and so forth. How does she know? I thought she took Azeb’s place. When she was describing her love for Meles, I was examining Azeb’s reactions. Azeb actually looked down and covered her face completely with her Kel. Rice was stealing her husband from her. More, why was it so necessary to be so personal for a diplomat officially representing the US? Finally, Rice’s admiration of Meles’s insulting and rude Mouth is an indication of her attitude toward the people of Ethiopia and the Ethiopian nation. If those words came from some racist neo-colonialist white male, I probably could find a logic for it. For a black women with a legacy of slavery joining an orgy of insulting the free and polite people of Ethiopia is beyond explanation. It is my hope that Ethiopian Americans demand a statement from Rice or the state deparment.

It is more than an ally of US. Rice grossly assaulted opposition parties, the people of Ethiopia. Time shown us it is Susan Rice who ardently worked for genocider Meles to stay in power and continue mass massacring and jailing the people of Ethiopia. The Meles system could do any thing by using mindless person like Rice using out of huge sum of money $ 5.7 billion looted from the people of Ethiopia.

The remarks of Rice as a propaganda machine for mass massacrer of Meles surprised me that the Americanism and the American system don’t allow such type of narrowism and being the promoter of unjustice and repression. It is Secretary Clinton who deserves respect who has never used a penny shameful word that unethically quailifies murderer Meles and undermines the people of Ethiopia. Rice should ask the people of Ethiopia for her damage to the Ethiopian people and her misbehavior!!! Or we expect statement from Obama administration that keeps the standards of US. God Bless Ethiopia!!

I don’t know about you but I am not an idiot. I have more respect to myself than this woman who stole Azeb’s husband has for herself. This should outrage every one who calls himself a patriot. This one should not be tolerated. It is a disgrace for all of us to let this insult go unpunished.

Some among us have also become an outlet to deliver her insult to the Diaspora. Why? I don’t know. Ethiomedia has provided the platform to deliver her full message (insult) to the Diaspora.

When there are many relevant news to post at ESAT and other opposition media like Dr. Gregory Stanton’s interview with Abebe Gellaw, Ethiomedia is posting the full speech of such a disgraceful and shameless diplomat with a rude mouth. Why? What does this mean? Why do we need her full speech?

I was to write a few things after watching her speech but I would rather bite my tongue and wait until I walk into the voting booth on that decisive date of November 6, 2012. I am getting an idea that Obama and his followers like her do not give a hoot about my vote. They really don’t. They feel so assured about being re-elected that they are telling me to stick it. They may be so right in that expectation. When I voted for Obama in 2008, I did not choose him because he was smarter than Senator McCain. McCain had better resume than Obama. McCain’s patriotism was tested in the raging battlefields of Vietnam and had paid for it in blood and honey. But I thought Obama’s election would bring a new era and had a significant role in the history of the United States and the world by putting a black man for the first time in the White House. I voted for him just because he was a black man like me and billions other worldwide. That was the only reason I voted for him. He was a layman in every aspect of governance in spite of the fact that he is a trained lawyer. He was a junior senator and was a novice when it comes to the knowledge of the American economy and how it ticks. But as tens of millions of American voters I cast my ballot for him. I cried like a child on his inauguration day but I did not know that I was also crying for those 200 innocent people ruthlessly gunned down in the streets and back alleys of Addis under the watchful eyes of the entire world. I am still crying for them. I have a feeling that Mrs. Rice and other like him around Obama seem to believe that those 200 peaceful demonstrators brought their demise upon themselves. They believe Meles and his cohorts have nothing to do with it and they deserved to die in cold blood. That is why I am still crying for those 200 victims. In the era of the Obama administration victims have been found guilty of murdering themselves. Eskinder Nega was found guilty by Jury forewoman Rice for ‘predicting’ something Meles did not like. Now I am afraid to predict that Obama will lose the November election!!!!!! I can’t say this is hypocrisy since that is not sufficient to define it. I would rather someone else coin up a new term for it. For me ‘Obama enough’ already.

The state of the economy has something big and glaring to be told. 14 million former proud employees are out in the streets looking for work with fewer vacancies to go around. Obama’s response has been the reincarnation of the late Huey Long from the 1930′s with ‘wealth re-distribution’ rhetoric. Just watch this speech by Huey Long from the 1930’s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hphgHi6FD8k. Seven decades have passed since that speech and USA has won a World War, beat communism to oblivion and currently dealing terrorism telling blows. It has gone to the moon and came back safely to earth. Since then it has groomed and helped many free enterprise countries around the world. So take from the rich by force and give it to the rich has and will never work. That is just feasting on desperate people’s emotions. That will not create jobs. At the end of the day all those 14 million unemployed are still looking for jobs. Many of them had given up looking for work here and seeking employment overseas in places they never heard of before. Just go in side some of the countries in Asia like China, you will find many US citizens, and proud of it just like I am, toiling for a living. Decades ago I used to meet Americans in such places as tourists but now they work and live there. I am not saying Obama is to blame for this but he has not done a squat to reverse it. Nostalgic Huey Long’s rhetoric from the 1930’s has not and will not work. This is a country of good doers and a country built on free enterprise and entrepreneurship where such people keep every dime they legally made after taxes. I believe that President Obama has accomplished his historical mission by being the first black man to be the President of the most powerful nation in the world. He is a charming and very likable person. But the US economy is not looking at him eye to eye. Now, that being accomplished, it is time for him to go back to his tenure at the University of Chicago
