Ambassador Susan Rice
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations
Permanent Mission to the United Nations
799 UN Plaza
New York, NY 10017-3505
Dear Mrs. Rice
We are utterly disappointed and disgusted by your speech at the funeral ceremony of the late dictator of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi. You gave him not only an accolade he does not deserve, but you also pushed your unsubstantiated bias to a greater extent of calling the Ethiopian opposition “idiots”. This insult coming from you as a US diplomat has shocked and angered Ethiopians around the world.
First and foremost, as a US diplomat, it is totally out of line and unprofessional to take sides and be directly involved in the dynamics of the internal politics of a volatile country such as Ethiopia. You may, as any individual, have a political position to endorse and even passionately defend which we certainly respect. But you don’t have that privilege to officially express in front of the whole wide world showering all that undeserved praise and approval to a brutal dictator in your position as a US diplomat. And to add insult to injury, you denigrated and insulted the Ethiopian opposition that has been waging a holy struggle for genuine freedom and democracy in Ethiopia by calling them “idiots”.
Let me tell you something which you are not aware of. Even the late darling of yours who you adore so much did not call us “idiots”. He knows we are not. On the contrary, he admits the intellectual capacity and reserve in expertise the opposition has at its disposal. He may have called us other names describing our inability to unite or do what he did which is be aggressive and deadly enough to maim and kill thousands to come to power. I assure you he knows what intellectual power we have got on our belt. It is unnecessary for me to go in detail presenting some of the credentials the Ethiopian opposition has in it. That should have been your homework before you uttered that reckless, irresponsible and unprofessional word in front of the public.
If your memory serves you right, your boss, President Obama, made a speech in Ghana while he was on a tour visiting Africa. There was a part that rings a bell in me as well as in many other Ethiopians around the world. And he said, “Africa needs strong institutions and not strong men.” Do you remember that? I hope you do. Of course, this does not mean individuals should not get credit for what they accomplish. Sure, credit should given to whom credit is due.
Let us see the resume of the late tyrant of Ethiopia whom you embraced and willing to testify on his behalf more than his own wife. Have you wondered to read or at least scan his human rights record document available at the US State Department? I know, for America, national security and stability are more important than democracy and human rights combined. But what is the limit beyond which America won’t tolerate gross human right abuses such as genocide? Or is there such a limit that you and your boss won’t tolerate gross human rights abuses? Obviously, it does not look like it. And make no mistake about it. Your boss, president Obama, who sent you to insult us, will pay a dear price for it. Ethiopian Americans in the swing states such as Virgina and Ohio are waiting for him. And they have an appointment with him on November 6, 2012.
How dare you give this level of admiration to a tyrant who killed 200 protesters on broad day light in 2005 to steal an election? How can you shower your praise to a deadly tyrant who executed 400 Anuak people from Gambella committing a horrendous genocide that has been investigated and verified by Genocide Watch? How can you in your right mind admire a brutal dictator who massacred the people of Ogaden with unparalleled barbarism Ethiopia has never seen before? What is there for a brutal dictator to give credit for who imprisoned thousands of political prisoners and journalists who are languishing in his dungeons under inhuman conditions even as we speak? What does this say about you and your value for the human soul that God created? What make you think that the lives of thousands of Ethiopians stolen by your darling dictator have no value in your eyes? Or do you consider them chickens or wild beasts who deserve to be killed?

Mrs. Rice, do you have any value for the soul of this innocent young man who was gunned down in 2005 like a wild beast by your darling’s order?

How about this young woman who lost her husband by cut short by the tyrant’s bullet? Mrs. Rice, do you care or you think he deserves it?

Mrs. Rice, do you think this young man deserves to be executed by your darling’s bullet only because he demanded for his God given right to live as a free man in his own country?
Last but not least, we ask you and the US government which you represent, to apologize for the irreparable damage you inflicted on the emotional and psychological well-being of our people who have endured 20 long years of terror under the brutal dictator, Meles Zenawi. The Ethiopian Opposition also demands an apology from you for insulting them and behaving under and below your professional calling and meddling in the internal political affairs of Ethiopia.
Sincerely yours,
Kirubeal Bekele

As the days go by my pain that was caused by Ambassador Susan Rice worsens. When I first heard her speech I felt bad for Susan Rice because I believed that she just misspoke. I could not bring myself to believe that an intelligent young lady like Susan Rice will undermine me and my fellow Ethiopians. I have not heard an apology from Susan Rice and I could not stop thinking about her insult. I hate to be abused but I do not consider all misquotes and mistakes an abuse. When I read some strong points against Susan Rice I really felt sorry for her because I was so sure that she was going to apologize soon. Right now, I think she deserves every piece of mind that was thrown at her.
I could not believe Susan Rice will call me and 80 million Ethiopians Idiot Fools. Right now I wonder if she was the one who advised Meles Zenawi to kill his own people and even provided the snipers herself, may be hand delivered. I just wonder.
What does it take for Susan Rice to apologize? For how long am I going to stay naive? I guess I have to move on admitting that there are those like Susan Rice who believe that we Ethiopians are Idiot Fools. Why should I wonder some people have called Martin Luther King a communist. It is one thing to hear some reporters call President Obama a Muslim; but you must be an Idiot Fool to believe it. I think Susan Rice really believes that we Ethiopians are Idiot Fools.

There is a photograph circulating around in the internet where Susan Rice and Meles Zenawi are sitting side by side. A picture is worth a thousand words. The body language confirms the relationship between these two individuals was close and personal. She in a relaxed mood with her legs open( unladylike ) gazing into his eyes while he was leaning forward seemingly mouthing ” i love you too!”.
Malcolm x defined a house negro: “a slave who imagines himself to be thought of as kin by his master because they live in the same house.” Urban dictionary defines the term as ” a black person that does their best to please white people even if it means disowning their own racial identity”.
Martin Luther King, Malcolm-X, Angela Davis, and Jesse Jackson are by no means considered as house Negros. At the opposite end, you find Susan Rice, Condolezza Rice, Clarence Thomas and Herman Cain-just to name a few- completely surrendering their bodies and souls to serving the white master without reservation.
Susan Rice is a certified what they call house nigger. She is placed in a highly regarded position as a reward for being one and to justify equality amongst all Americans. Her duty is to protect the interests of the 1% exclusive Anglo-Saxon Americans. The one time advocate of “Yankee go home!” and ” down with imperialism!” slogans, Meles Zenawi was an opportunist who switched sides and got honored for being a house nigger from Africa.
Susan Rice botched her diplomatic mission muttering undiplomatic words by labeling the opposition” idiots”. I have got news for Suzy! No matter how you slice it and dice it, the “idiots” have the last laugh. Because they had the satisfaction of witnessing the mercenary tyrant buried six feet under. To top it all, you guys made a mockery of his funeral by turning it into a circus show. They got to see Susan Rice make a fool of herself by showering accolades to a child killer in front of the whole world via live TV. I pity the fool!
FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS IN ETHIOPIA!!!

How long for are the opposition allowing every dick and harry calling them ‘idiots’. this really shows the low esteem at which the opposition are regarded by the US and prticularly, susan rice, and now she has said it in front of the media and everybody knows about it.
Individuals like Andualem Aragie, Bekele Gerba, Natnaeil Mekonen etc are locked up in prison and those people whom they worked with on the same political programme are not acting like a political force, but behave like a pressure group like ‘friends of the earth’ with no real motive to be infront of the struggle and lead the people. if that is not ‘idiot’ what is?

I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he has taught the Woyane personalities how to handle funeral ceremonies all over the country.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he has taught Woyane officials to lie and live a mysterious life at the expense of the people of Ethiopia.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he gave the Woyane powermongers to fight for power and make them decipher the way to power.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he has made Ethiopia the only country in the world that wept for two weeks for its leader, stopping work and closing public services.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi who made many world leaders his friends and made them speak lies and even Suzan Rice of USA, be mesmerized by his elegant posture and intelligence that she went to the extent of insulting the Ethiopian people.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he has become polished teacher of Al Amoudin, the multibillionaier, and invest in the gold mine and rob the Ethiopians.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he has taught the Ethiopians to fight against one another and live in fear.
I am gratful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he dismantled Ethiopia and established ethnic based kingdoms with their own kings and princes and he himself being king of kings.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he has made the Amaharas the most feared monster of the Tigrians and armed them to fight the Amhara monster to remain in power.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister for he has made many people from his ethnic millionairs and established outstanding education system in Tigray to make the people better off than other ethnics.
I am grateful to the late Prime Minister Melese Zenawi for he has pardoned those individuals who stole mysteriously 10,000 ton of coffee, for he himself is involved in the affair.

I know Mrs. Susan Rice is full of herself. I have no doubt she will brush aside our concern assuming that this critical voice is coming from us who she considers insignificant and powerless.
But she has no idea God always picks the wick and the insignificant to shame the proud and the arrogant. No body expected her boss to become the president of the United States. No one, including Barack Obama himself. But, he did. Unfortunately, he has become like the rest of them. Corrupt, a liar, and someone who sold his promise to the poor and the powerless for cash and political support from the rich and famous.
Well, God is going to show up once again as usual. He will pick us, Ethiopian Americans, who Susan Rice and her boss consider poor and insignificant, to vote in Virginia and kick Obama out of office. Wait and see.

Susan Rice may think the children that need to be loved and taken care of might be her children and the children of Mele’s and the like. The rest are disposable or don’t count, so who cares, if their parents are being killed or forced to leave the country or in prison. Who cares some mothers are giving birth in the prison dungeon. There is a saying in Amharic, it is not the one who insulted me that pained me most, but it is the one who told me! Mrs Rice, what was your purpose conveying that insult? Actually, not being so explicit with that, I was questioning, does she mean the opposition, or does she mean the member of parliament that preside with him? Who was that for? You may have been close to the late Prime Minister, but what came out of your mouth is not as a high ranking U.S. Public Service Officer where you are expected to act with respect and dignity but a woman who have lost a lover. If this is what “The Great Country of the U.S.”, affords to be represented by, let the country start worrying! There is no greatness with Susan Rice. Sad! Sad! Sad!
Thank you sir for writing this letter, but I do not see any apology coming.

What would Susan Rice tell to the families of those nearly 200 innocent Ethiopians who were murdered in 2005 under the direct order of the late Meles Zenawi?
What would she tell to the victims in Gambella, which Genocide Watch levels it as an act of genocide, perpetrated by the late Meles Zenawi’s army?
What would she tell those Ogadeni families whose entire village was burnt down by Meles Zenawi’s army?
What would she tell to the families of countless Ethiopians, Eskindir Nega among them, who are unjustly languishing in prison under the late Meles Zenawi’s regime?
Is it really a visionary leader’s act to cling to power for 21 years by silencing opposition, free press and the citizens of Ethiopia with brute force?

my God if that is the case then its our day! Switzerland political system is one of the most democratic systems, which is also dubbed as direct democracy, don’t you know according their laws any person can change a law or go against it as long as they have petitions of 50,000 people? they will die before they will let anything like that happen, if they do? why do we even fight then? cause its the most amazing form of democracy that is exercised in Switzerland, i don’t think it is even viable in countries with big population, as each person is an electorate, and counts more than any one individual weighs in any other country. So NO. they will continue the Japan style one dominant party system, that ensures 100% power to them. Please let’s not mislead ourselves.

Kirubeal Bekele,Now I am feeling better to your wonderful letter, but the the poisnous words she injected on the Ethiopian people openly worldwide should be cured. Where is the reply of opposition parties who insulted by her in a frontline, where is the reply of patriotic intellectuals, Now is the time to unite and fight, Her insult should be ansewred the way they need targetfully. Susan Rice destruction is more the destruction of Meles to the Ethiopians and our country. Her damage to our country has been hiden for 21 years. God created this event to expose her!!!

Dear Kirubeal:
Good luck in getting any answer from her. You can see from her biography that she sees herself as a ‘know-all’ person and nobody can challenge her opinion. She is known to be as stubborn as unbroken mule. Above all, you should remember she is a doctor and way too clever for you and I to criticize her. She is much more intelligent than these Africans like you and me. You and I should know better not say a word except jump as high as we can whenever she sneezes. She said so and that must be right. According to her she is telling us the following:
1) Obo Eskinder’s imprisonment is right. Check!!
2) His toddler son has been crying every day asking for his dad. I don’t give a damn!!!
3) 196 Innocent people were deliberately shot to death in 2005. Their loving mothers are
still shedding tears. They deserved it and I don’t give a damn. And check!!
4) There are hundreds and possibly thousands of political prisoners not affiliated with any terrorist
groups but were thrown into jails because of their criticism of Meles’ domestic human
and democratic rights policies. They deserved it and again, I don’t give a damn!!! Check!!!
These may be her answers for you and me.

Beware everybody Woyane is playing a smart political game; no one seems to be aware of it. I don’t blame Susan Rice calling the opposition parties an idiot. Right now I do not know what the opposition parties are doing, but I can tell you that EPRDF is in the proses of forming a government that is very much like Switzerland multi party federal system which forms a seven –member executive council that heads the federal administrations operating as combination cabinet and collective presidency. Dose it ring the bell? It should. The seven cabinet lead by Seum Mesfin is just doing that. Please Weak up oppositions & political analysts. I suggest you to Google on Switzerland government.

To the so called US diplomatic aka Susan Rice; delegate head, the typical hypocrite of the century, please sing with me below song, we know it, you know it , the answer is…… blown in the wind
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boV_yIB507c
BY Bob Dylan
How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, n how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, n how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before theyre forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind,
The answer is blowin in the wind.
How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, n how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, n how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind,
The answer is blowin in the wind.
How many years can a mountain exist
Before its washed to the sea?
Yes, n how many years can some people exist
Before theyre allowed to be free?
Yes, n how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesnt see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind,
The answer is blowin in the wind.
