Dear The Saskatchewan University Community in Canada
Shiferaw Shigute a registered Ethnic Cleanser is coming mixed with “educators” to visit your university in June 10 next week. The university has put itself in a difficult position because the invitation of this known criminal will put it in collision course with Ethiopians in Canada. The recent victims off Shiferaw Shigute are more than twenty thousands including children and women who were evicted from their farms at Gura Ferda in south of Ethiopia few months ago. They are now dispersed throughout Ethiopia with no one to take care of them. It is sad to see a man who is responsible for such crime be allowed to come to your university to do business. This criminal should be apprehended in Canada for his crime not to be given a platform to spit his dirt.
Shiferaw Shigute is a racist thug and Ethiopians in Canada will chase him accordingly. It is no longer secret in our community about his coming even if the university try hard to make it secret. I learned from my conversation with university official today that large number of Ethiopians are calling the university to denounce the university for inviting this criminal. I hope the university will respond to our demand and uninviting this thug immediately.
However, we Ethiopians in the Diaspora have to campaign against the invitation of Shiferaw Shigute the Ethnic Cleanser of Gura Ferda until the university apologizes in public for not doing its homework. The university must be ashamed of itself for that. However, If the university believes that Shiferaw Shugite is a man who deserves such invitation they better have a crush course on Ethiopian politics of last few months and learn what happened at Gura Ferda, the fiefdom of Shiferaw Shigute.
There is a letter he signed to conduct ethnic cleansing, that itself is enough. If they are not aware of such letter we will provide them any time. One thing the university can not do is ignore our call. We have the man power to mobilize to shut your campus any time. We will Occupy Saskatchewan University to capture Shiferaw Shigute.
We are not kidding. Ethiopians in America showed all what they can do on our last month rally in Washington, DC and Camp David, Maryland. Meles Zenawi the boss of Shiferaw Shigute was not saved by Obama. He was humiliated in public and cut short his visit and run to his safe heaven. Shiferaw Shugite can not be saved by anyone in Canada we will get him.
I do hope Saskatchewan University will not be identified with “Gura Ferda”. We have few more days to stop the plane of Shiferaw Shigute before crossing the Canada Air. Let him go to Hague where he belongs.
Sincerely,
Tedla Asfaw

Dear Tedla Asfaw:
Thank you for your email message addressed to President MacKinnon expressing your concerns about a visiting delegation from Hawassa University.
I assure you that your message has been received and directed to the appropriate authorities at the University of Saskatchewan for their consideration.
Our relationship with Hawassa University extends back to 1997 and has involved 9 distinct projects, most funded by the International Development Research Centre of Canada (IDRC) , Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), or through scholarship programs managed by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC). These projects have included faculty and student exchanges in both directions and, of course, research. Our collaboration has largely centered on agriculture but has also included nutrition and technology transfer. We have assisted Hawassa University to develop their capacity to deliver Master’s and Ph.D. programming in Nutrition.
Sincerely,
