Ethiopian Music: Teddy Afro New Song 2012

De Birhan blog

Happy Ethiopian Easter and Enjoy Teddy Afro’s album title and new song “Tekur Sew” meaning Black Person. Tribute to King Menelik II, Pride of the black race.

“Menelik’s force consisted of 82,000 rifle- and sword-armed infantry, 20,000 spearmen and 8,000 cavalry–the fierce Oromo horsemen roaring their war cry ‘Ebalgume! Ebalgume!’ (Reap! Reap!).” said a report from History net.

I like the song and most importantly I love Menlik who is the source of my pride. Did he kill Oromos and southernrs when he expanded to the south, yes he did. So did white Americans, the Germans, the French, the Russians and the Romans. No nation is assembled on “alga be alga”! But I don’t think Teddy did his history homework when he wrote his lyrics. The song has a mixed up story of every name mentioned except Menlik. Teddy must do his homework beofre he produces such artifact that goes form eneration to generation. For example, the father of Balcha is not Aba Nefso, it is Safo. Aba Nefso is his horse’s name.

Down with woyanne. Teddy afro’s tikur sew track is historical that grabbed the attention of his fans. And a blow for embarrased woyane who mishandle the glorified ethiopian history. I want to say the verse again…”woy salelew biker yane enen alhonim neber ene.” the last butnot the least is the adwa scene was remarkable victory of the whole ethiopian people not the bitch woyannes. Go to hell!!! Mother fuckers!!!
